Organisational Affiliation: affiliated with the vice presidency of the university.

The general objective: to ensure the implementation of university projects in accordance with the high level of practices and to benefit the university within the limits of the relevant rules, regulations and instructions.

Mission

  • Review the conditions and specifications prepared by the project owner before the competition.
  • Review the draft contract before its approval to ensure that it conforms to the conditions and specifications in coordination with the owner entity of the project to identify potential risks and work to address them.
  • Ensure the Emiratization rate included in the contracts based on the type and nature of the contract according to the targeted job categories in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Human Resources.
  • Express an opinion on non-conformity reports and work to address them in coordination with the university's technical units.
  • Study the variation order requests submitted by the project manager and contractor and determine the project’s potential impacts.
  • Ensure the qualification of subcontractors and their ability to implement as decided by the laws and regulations.
  • Review and approve schedules submitted by the contractor and consultant.
  • Ensure that the units concerned with contracts of a continuous nature, such as food and cleaning, re-introduce the competition in sufficient time, not less than six months from the date of the end of the contract, to ensure that service is not interrupted.
  • Ensure that the contracts comply with the instructions the Local Content Authority issued regarding contractors' obligations to purchase materials supplied for projects.
  • Monitoring the progress of the project and receiving periodic reports from the concerned units in this regard to ensure the implementation of works according to the specified periods.
  • Ensure that contracts for operation, maintenance, cleaning and other services meet the stander of quality assurance.
  • Ensure that computer contracts meet the stander of the SLA Service Agreement.
  • Ensure that the contractors complete computer contracts for the controls and requirements of the Cyber Security Authority.
  • Maintain electronic copies of contracts and organize them objectively and chronologically in order to quickly retrieve them.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it within its competence.
